I had a great time at the AZ rally even though I had to drive there on
four wheels. Mark was nice enough to let me go for a spin on the
Aluminator, truly an inspiring machine. It was really a beautiful
setting for some beautiful bikes and the place was full of great people
(I don't care what the rest of you say, Tom Short is a nice guy!). Big
thanks to Tom and the rest of the people that helped make the rally a
great success!

I thought I'd give you a brief review of the rally. I got to Prescott on thursday afternoon to find two ralliers already in attendance! The rally doesn't start till friday! The weather on thursday, depending on where you were coming from, was either windy, windy with scattered showers, windy with scattered rain, windy with scattered hail, windy with scattered sleet, or windy with scattered snow. However, friday, Sat, and Sunday were Chamber of Commerce perfect!!! Sunshine and warm!!! Attendance was near record, I think just under 140!! A few nice loops and a few raggedy loops showed up.Oldest bike ridden to the rally was a V700! Oldest bike at the rally was a 1938 GTW. I got to go on a long ride with Pat Hayes on a 1955 Falcone!! I "NEED" ONE!! Got to meet Jeff Buick! Really nice kid! Sorry, Jeff, couldn't resist! We took a blast down the hiway Sunday morning on a couple of Mark's custom Guzzis. Mark's bikes are truly "Bad To The Bone"! No crashes, one slight injury and one dead battery. Tons of food, cake, beer and grappa! One of the best rallies, so far!!!
