Hi Matt,
Maybe they're related - if enough oil ran down from the loose breather
hose to soak the clutch and cause it to slip. You might try the old
"mineral spirits clutch wash trick". I forget the exact particulars (how
much? how long? where do you fill if no timing plug?), but maybe someone
