Some time ago Roy Goyette (new-old member of recent posts), sent me a sample
of "Amsoil Synthetic 5th Wheel & Open Gear Compound" to use & report on. I
have been using it on my own bikes & others I have worked on & have been
EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with how well it works. I've owned /maintained Guzzis (&
a couple Beemers) for 25 years. & this is the best product for the rear
wheel splines I've used. It STAYS PUT (no drooling) protects & lubricates
(no dry rust on the splines). It comes in an 11.5 oz pressure can that will
service a fleet of bikes for many years. The fact that I will continue to
use it on my own bikes is the highest recommendation I can give.
