The good news is that I think I cured a problem with my bike by trying someones (Patric?) advice. By raising the slide needle, the plug color and the performance seemed much better. Then the bad. When I went to the Zone to get a set of those Bosh plugs to try out the "no-foul in a bucket of oil" warranty. When I came out, the bike was dead. A small click in the starter when I hit the button. Try rolling it off..nada. Try a jump ...nada. I have spark, but the bike will not hit a lick, even with starting fluid. The ugly,I am afraid I may have jumped time, But it won't even pop. I will investigate further as I can Greg '74 LAPD (I think) |

Hey, I was just THERE!
When you say it will not hit a lick, and only gives a small click from
the starter......Is the engine turning at all with the starter? I guess
it is, else you wouldn't know you have a spark.
Maybe the battery has suddenly shorted internally; maybe a connection
finally oxidized. Static timing is easy to set and will get it running
if that's what slipped.
Maybe a temporal subspace distortion caused your gasoline to age 3 years
in 3 minutes.....
