Subject: Crud! Lost the speedo washer!

Well, after reading all about how you're not supposed to let the washer
at the end of the speedo cable fall into the gearbox, I promptly let
exactly that happen. The drain plug is not as big as the washer, and it
looks like a magnetic pick-up tool will do the trick.
I'm assuimg I'll have to take the end of the gearbox off over the
weekend, and I'll check out the clutch connection and the gear shifter
connection and the universal joint while I'm at it-
Is there any other advice that those who have made the same mistake can
send my way?
