Unusual,
Look for a broken valve spring and/or obvious signs of the valve
kissing the piston .
Also look for .....me ! If Les is willing I told him I would bring his
bike right out to him . He is in Washington state so you are right on
the way there from here in Meechagin . (see the other post real close by
)
Of course there is a chance he will have a change of heart soooo our
visit may have to wait .
Good luck and lets hope it takes more work than $$$ to get it going
again.

Hi Gary, Road was bent at the top end. About a 1/4 of an inch from the bottom edge of the cup. I will pull the head this weekend. I am thinking what you are....valve stem bent or broke. When I intalled the new rod the valve would acuate when the engine was hand turned. I tried to fire the bike up and she would run on the right cylinder but not the left. Seems to me that the intake valve has shut down. I'll let you know what I find out...Ian
