I just installed Gary's double solenoid harness in the
'73 Eldorado on Saturday. It is almost easier than he
drew it. The low draw primary signal to the solenoids
got pluged into the bullet recepticals in front of the
fuse block that I unplugged the existing short wire
harness going to the headlight connector (these go
back to the headlight switch). Then I just plugged his
high current lines on to the bullet connectors at the
end of the existing headlight connector short wires.

I have just posted a schematic and pictorial view of
relays used to
switch high and low beam positions of headlights.
This is a worthwhile conversion that relieves the
ignition switch and
head light switches along with the associated wiring
from handling the
high current loads. An added benefit is brighter
,whiter lighting.
Halogen lights,according to manufacturers last
longer when operatting at

full design voltage .
If anyone is interested I will post sources for the
parts . We may
also get an order together to buy the parts in
quanity if there is
enough interest .
