You can drive a slender wedge or case seperator or a wide flat
screwdriver into the long slot in the bottom tree. the sterring yoke as you call it.
This releases pressure on the fork. Also remove the allen bolt just at th top
of the hole where the front axel goes through the fork, recessed in the fork
and turn the bottom half of the fork off. Greg, '74 LAPD
