Hi Chris,
The '69 Ambo is insured with State Farm (along with two cars) and is
insured for a value of $2500. Costs me $194 a year for full coverage. Of
course, where a vehicle is located sometimes affects rates. I'm out in
the boonies and the bike is kept in a secure garage. If I lived in town
and it sat on a carport or along the street my insurance would likely be
higher. Gecko wouldn't write anything but liability on it and another
company (can't remember who) wouldn't insure it at all due to it's age.
Cheers,
Charlie

Who do you folks use? As the triumph and guzzi near completetion of the rebuilds (ha!) I have been thinking about insurance. I was just told by Geico that a. the will only insure for the blue book amount (someone please tell me where they are selling guzzis for that price so I can buy one) and b. they won't insure the Triumph in NY at all (the operator could not elaborate why). Have any you got a "stated amount" insurance policy? I use to just carry liability but a close buddy of mine got his bike nicked last summer and I have worked too long on these things to have them ganked. Thanks. |
