Hi Ron,
Yep! From what I remember it has 75k miles on it. Don't recall what oil
he's been using, but Howard is pretty meticulous when it comes to
maintenance. I feel the crank wasn't properly made - maybe they forgot
to nitride it or something. The only new crank he found was $1000 and it
will cost him $400 to have his ground and nitrided. Add the cost of new
bearings.... Cheers,

 Hi all,
Local Guzzi owner Howard Rhinehart is looking for a crankshaft for his
'97 1100 Sport. His present one is so worn, he'll have to go third
undersize on the main bearings. He'd rather just find a better one to
start with. Don't know what other models might have used the same crank.
If you know of one or anyone who may be able to assist in finding one,
respond off-list and I'm pass the info. on to him. Thanks,
