I'm all for learning to change a tire, fix a flat on the road but there
seems to be easier ways. And no, I'm not talking about the cell phone
and credit card, although I do carry those, also.
For several years now I've been using Ride-On sealant in my tires
(Bikes, cars and trailers).

There are 4 things I *know* about this product:
1. It works for punctures
2. It does not work for bad valve cores
3. It is not explosive, like Fix-a-flat is, and mechanics are not afraid
of it.
4. The rims clean up with water.
It's cheap and easy insurance. The only warning is that when punctured
your tire is unsafe, sealed or not. So, you must get in the habit of
inpsecting the tires from time to time to look for sealed punctures and
then replace the tire.

I've diagnosed and fixed a few problems on my Eldo on the roadside - nothing too major. But one that looks really difficult (because I've never done it) is repairing a tube tire. Just what is involved in doing this job and what tools are required? I suspect a nice set of tire irons is required, patch kit and a way to inflate the tube. But is there a difficulty rating?
