well said...and I'd say my V700 stops one heck of a
lot better than a same year R60/2 I had for 80k
miles!!!!....

front brake linings with a softer compound and have
them radiused to your drum. Then make sure the

My Eldo long suffered from very poor stopping
although I had shoes from a reputable Goose
supplier. Finally, I found real old fashioned
brake shop locally. For $26 he bonded new linings
to my shoes and radiused them to my drum. Result:
Good stopping with no squealing. It does not stop
like my LeMans 1000 or the Stone, but not too bad
for a 31 year old bike.
