I'll be 41 in Jan., when I'm away from work I still feel 30. At work, I
feel more like 50 - need a new job. Where can I find a good redheaded
Australian woman?

Started riding Guzzis in '84 when I bought a very used '76 Convert. Not
exactly the kind of bike your average 21 yr. old rides. But even then I
really appreciated it's comfort, handling and ease of maintenance/repair
compared to the Yamahas I had before it. The Convert had the something
special that Guzzis have and was missing from my brother's R90S. Bought
the '69 Ambo in April '97 and will probably have it until death do us
part.

I feel drawn to machinery in general that is of a certain age. My
Gravely garden tractor was built in '64, the Sears riding mower is from
'72, my Lawn-Boys '66 and '69 and now the '70 Mercedes. Like my Ambos
(and V7 Sport) they were all built with solid, proven technology and
were expected to be used and enjoyed for many years. I'm not very
attracted to new things - I like older, weathered things with a certain
patina to show the life they've had. Riding the Ambo or driving the
Mercedes is like wearing a pair of comfortable old shoes. Know whata'
mean? Cheers,

Charlie
