How I got into Loops:

I had had several Guzzis, an SP1000NT, my T3 (which I still have) and a
LeMans V, and Mark Tenney called me one day and said he knew where a
disassembled Eldo was that might be gotten for not too much cash. I
emailed the guy and he sent me the photos of the rusted pieces, and I
sent them to a friend who always talked about wanting a chrome-tanked
Guzzi. He saw the pictures and hemmed and hawed and mentioned the
possibility of our co-owning it, which I quickly vetoed. He didn't
want to tackle the job, and I didn't ant the bike to get away.

Mark agreed to ride out and pick up the pile, and I offered a low price
to the seller if I promised to restore it and not part it out. He bit,
and Mark collected the parts and met me in Brevard for a wedding we were
both attending on September 11, 1999.

I slowly began gathering pieces and learning and then really got to work
on the restoration after taking the frame and assorted bits to Daytona
in March 2002 to be powdercoated while I was in town. I rode it the
first time in January, 2003, in a light snow and I have loved it ever
since.
