My transmission just came out Friday after my going
all year using my foot to return the gear selector.
All of the sage advice is you better turn the
transmission on its nose if you don't want shims and
gears falling out of position when you take the back
cover off.
The only debate is do you move the engine foreward or
do you move the drive shaft back. Your choice.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change out a shift lever return spring without taking the tranny out of the bike? Can the rear of the tranny be removed in the frame with the swingarm etc. off? Mine must be broken as it has one of those old "external spring kits" and I am going to try to repair it correctly. Thanks in advance for the advice. kcampbellNH 98 EV 97 Sporti 80 v50 74 Eldo |
