My 72 Eldo had the hole stripped out by an idiot I was related to. I
had a flat aluminum plate welded to the top of the webbing, and mounted
the gen bracket to it. I know it was some fancy welding, but I was in
the Navy, and it only cost me a case of beer. The fix did hold.
