Thanks Ken,
I am looking for a set for my Police Eldo project and there is a set on Ebay
right now. I would buy from Agostini but the Euro is too high right
now....and likely will be for a while to come. I may have to bite the bullet
and swallow the high exchange rate.....more likely get a set from one of the
shops here in the US. As soon as the White Eldo is back in riding shape I
will get back on the Police Eldo project.
Speaking of which....the White Eldo is back together and ready to test. Will
wait till tomorrow to allow the gasket goo to set in the headers. Everything
looks good and I will cross my fingers that I won't have to pull the
engine....again!
...Ian

Ian The cylinders will physically fit, but T cylinder push rod tubes were moved further away from the bore for the anticipated 1000cc motors. You may have to grind a little on the inside of the tubes to get enough clearance for the push rods. T pistons would not work as they have a lower deck height. The new piston/cylinder kits coming from Gilardoni have an oval push rod tube design that allows the same cylinder to be used on the V-700, Ambassador, Eldorado, V7 Sport, 850 T & T3, only the piston changes depending on the model. A head gasket made for the oval tubes has to be used with the new cylinders. Ken Asheville, NC |
