Richard,
Very nice! Looks like you have a sweet place to work on your bikes,
also. I can imagine you in there late nights, with the garage door down,
only to find that dawn comes quickly and off to work you go, tired but
satisfied. Ok, so maybe that's *my* life, not yours but I'll bet you can
relate.
Looks like you found the Big Texan, as well. Did you try the 72oz steak?
When I was there summer of '02 I witnessed two guys polish them off and
get their certificates and t-shirts. Pretty impressive. I hope you found
Cadillac Ranch, right down the road on Rt 66.
I am surprised by the difference in height of the Ambo heads, compared
to my Eldo, unless the camera angle set up an illusion. Looks to be
significantly taller on your Ambo.
My gas tank arrived from MG Classics yesterday. It's gorgeous! Thanks,
Mark. Powder coating gets picked up in the next day or two. The one
thing I am really not looking forward to is wiring. I have a new harness
but the truth be told, the last two wiring projects I tackled were a '63
VW single cab and '67 BSA, both 6 volt, and the Beezer positive earth,
of course. Lots of mistakes and re-do's on those projects. Left a bad
taste regarding wiring. (maybe it was all the beer)
Anyway, your bike is beautiful and I hope you have many miles of riding
pleasure.
Ray
