To remove the chrome seal holders there is a special tool..like a
castelated socket. MG Cycle was selling the fine version Stephan Breton
makes.
Once those two parts are separated, there is a snap ring that has to be
removed. There is a small hole drilled at the base of the threads that
you can poke a rod or blunt screwdriver in the ease removal of the ring.
