David....Good Luck! Here is a suggestion. How about you ship your bike to
me....or one of the other Loopers and have one of us rebuild the bike for
you. That way when you return the bike will be all ready to ride....not to
mention the bike will be in a good "storage" facility during the year. With
all the money you will be making overseas I am sure you can put a little
away for the rebirth of your mechanical soulmate :-)
Keep you head down and don't step on any lumps on the ground...Ian

Fellow loopers,
Just about the time I thought I'd get around to fixing my Ambassador about
14 months ago, I ended up getting laid off from my Telecom sales job. Been
through a couple of other gigs that shut down under me since the first of
the year but now I have a position that should last a while. Landed a 1
year contract with Halliburton working on communications systems over in
Iraq. I'm going to keep on the list, lurking and learning, perhaps posting
occassionally to let you all know what's really going on over there.
Looking forward to returning at the end of the stint with enough money in
the coffers to resurrect the long-idle Ambassorado (71 Ambassador with an
Eldorado final drive). Ya'll have fun til I get back and look forward to
finally getting together with more of you when I return.
Later,
David Whitmore
Plano, TX
