Lannis, Did you see the post about the '75 police Eldo for sale that Don Bower placed on the list 9/1 ? I sent you an e-mail but it bounced. Ron Komoroski |

Yes, I saw the ad as soon as it came up. Thanks! Having been over to
the house and seen your Eldo is a lot of the inspiration for this
anyway....
I'm doing like I always do when I take a notion that I'd like to go one
way or another with bikes.....join the appropriate list, monitor the
classifieds, MGNOC site, eBay, mark's and eldomike's Eldo-for-sale
entries, find out what the right model and equipment for me would be,
find out what the going prices are, put my kids on double shifts down at
the sweatshop and make 'em bring the paychecks straight to me, shake out
the couch cushions for all the lost dimes and quarters,....... and then
pounce on a good deal.
I can "see" the bike I want in my head, and I think I know how I want it
equipped and what parts I want overhauled and done right before I get
it.....
Maybe this process is all overkill, and I oughta "go fer it" and card
$5000 out of the credit line and just get one and see how I like it.
But with a 17- and an 18-year old and 9 years to go on the house payment
and only two bikes in the shop running out of 5 and a Morgan 4/4 that
isn't running either, it pays to be a LITTLE bit circumspect in these
affairs. Especially since I'm going to be equipping this bike so that
"'er indoors" can travel with me and I'd sure like her to buy into the
process.
Slow and easy it is....
