Hi Paul,
The purists would surely cringe at my fitting of Briggs&Stratton fuel
valves to the Falcone until the new ones arrive from Italy next month.
If they work out, I may use them on the original tank for my '69 that
someone has drilled and tapped the outlets 1/4" pipe thread. The owner
supplied me with a solo seat for it that is likely made in India -
blaspemy! I want to ride this bike and petcocks leaking onto the magneto
just didn't get it, not did the petified original seat. Everything I've
done can be easily undone later if needed.
With the V7 Sport, I think of it this way: there are a bunch of
beautifully restored perfect originals, so I'm going to go slightly
non-stock with mine. Same with Loops - It would be a boring world if you
went to a rally and all the Loops were the stock colors with no
personalization at all. Have fun -that's what it's all about isn't it?

Thanks Charlie. This will come in very handy as I try my hand at custom cable making for Elvira. She is going to be different, so hope I don't scare all the die hard originals out there. :) |
