Hi,
It seems like all I've done since joining the list is ask questions. Now
I'd like to give something as I'm learning.
A fellow lister emailed and asked how I took my Eldo shocks apart. It
just so happens that I'm taking a lot of pics while I work, as a
documentary thing as well as for reference when reassembly time comes
around. I figured it was going to take at least a year and the old brain
cells are not getting any livelier.
So, I put the shock pics and some info together in a Powerpoint
presentation. I don't know of any way to get it out there any easier.
Hopefully, anyone interested can find someone with Powerpoint. Feel free
to copy it or whatever. It's not art or intended for commercial use,
just trying to help out. Doing a little give and take.
I'm sure this isn't the only or even the best way to do the job. It's
just the way it worked for me. The first one took 1/2 hour. Second one
about five minutes. All totaled...2 beer job.
I'm not an expert with the website construction so let me know if
there's problems accessing it.

PS still trying to find out if the bare shock body can come apart and
be cleaned and reoiled. I'd hate to ditch these. They are beautiful, in
a deco, old juke box or 50's Caddy tailight sort of way. Dontcha think?
