I wonder if his rear tire let go? If you recall, he mounted a set of wide white walls, using a front tire on both the front & rear. some were commenting on how little tread was left on his rear tire; he said they only had about 500 miles on them. |
Hoping for a fast recovery for Kevin. Time heals..sometimes slower than
we'd like!
I've got 2500 miles on a set of Maxxis Classics WWW's. Probably will
get another 1500 miles on the rear, front still looks good. Running
around 30 lbs of air in the rear.
My rear tire found a stray roofing nail north of Bay City on the 4th,
visiting relatives.......50 mph with my father on the rear (440 lbs of
humans on board). Quite an experience!!!! The rear slid back and
forth like you're sitting on jello. My only thoughts were highsiding if
the rear came around as instincts worked the handlebars left and right.
Happy ending but it sure makes you aware of the rapid deflation tube
tires have.
