Wurth makes a good product for that application.

Bob, people have tried various things for lubing the clutch (the clutch splines are what you need to lube). BMW spline greese was popular for a while, and I used it myself, but having pulled my clutch 20,000 miles after lubing it and finding it dry as a bone and VERY warn by friction, I would say that the BMW stuff is a very bad choice for this application. One of the gues at M-G Cycle suggested I try anti-sieze, and that is what I have done, but there are other options. Guzziology recommends Caterpillar spline greese, which I imagine is great. I lightly lube all the splines of the clutch assemble. Don't make it too heavy or it may find its way to the clutch friction material. -Mike (69 Ambo) "Greg, You have to splain things more for me. You mean you get out a can of you favorite grease and just slop it on the splines, and that's it, that's lubing a clutch? Sorry for the denseness.
