Wurth makes a good product for that application.

Bob, people have tried various things for lubing the
clutch (the clutch splines are what you need to lube).
BMW spline greese was popular for a while, and I used
it myself, but having pulled my clutch 20,000 miles
after lubing it and finding it dry as a bone and VERY
warn by friction, I would say that the BMW stuff is a
very bad choice for this application. One of the gues
at M-G Cycle suggested I try anti-sieze, and that is
what I have done, but there are other options.
Guzziology recommends Caterpillar spline greese, which
I imagine is great.

I lightly lube all the splines of the clutch assemble.
Don't make it too heavy or it may find its way to the
clutch friction material.

"Greg,
You have to splain things more for me. You mean you
get out a can of
you
favorite grease and just slop it on the splines, and
that's it, that's
lubing a clutch? Sorry for the denseness. Bob"
