Thanks Bob and Mark!
I found a match. The Volkswagen Bug Type I(59-79) is the same Bosch voltage
regulator as the on our loops.

Shawn,
I have heard, and have actually seen one, that an early 1960s Ford Falcon
regulator will suffice for a Marelli or Bosch regulator. Again, I did buy
one and the size and wire connects did match well. I never did install it
as I found that my regulator was working well and only needed a light
cleaning, which I did with fine emory paper on the contacts. The Ford
regulator cost me $12, cheap enough to try it and see. Best, Bob
