I had thought about doing the front fender green, the tank and side
covers white and the tool box and rear fender red, but then decided on
the flat black approach for just the same reason that Chris put it,
"Cheap and easy" just like Daisy. :)

My bike is getting a rattle can flat black paint job on the fender and toolboxes - cheap, easy and matches the fading tank. An artist friend offered to paint some vargas type pinups on the toolboxes, so Ian your wish may come to life. I saw a harley once with a pretty cool flower paint job. It was a white bike with roses and thorns all over it. The owner, while a nice guy to chat with at the bike shop, was large enough that he could have painted it pink metalflake with magenta flames and no one would say anything. After all the bike is just that :-) I have always thought about painting the tank in the Italian colours with the clours blending in at each transition. Regards...Ian
