You could try using the later aluminum rocker stanchions . I was going
to try them out but never got around to it. The clearances will take
some experimentation .
The cam design is pretty well locked in and to develop a quiter profile
would cost quite a bit. Most after market cam work goes into increased
performance.
By far the best solution is LOUDER mufflers. The Harley riders claim
they also save people's lives . I guess Harley logic is deaf people
somehow live longer (?)
