The ones that I have are custom made short and straight, and are constructed of stainless steel. (I'll take a picture and email to those who might want to see.) They were made this way because the stock ones curved in and I think the carbs or filter pods interfered with the frame or the battery. (Ask Paul Linn about how the frame is chopped) Now that I am using a stock frame, I will no longer have a clearance problem.
I've tried to knock the tap out using a punch and tapping it back out, but it broke off with a piece sticking up on one side and I can't get a good spot to hit.
I've just finished setting up my big vise, so i'll give it another try to punch it through.
Matt
