I started out with a leather (Hein Geriche Scout) jacket which I wore with jeans
for years. Just recently my wife (two piece) and I (single piece) got
Aerostitch RoadCrafter suits - this was due to a cross country trip we took
where it was raining off and on for most of the trip. We got tired of stopping
to put on or remove our rain gear (DryRider) as it was way too hot under the
rain gear in the sun.

My rides with the RC suit have been very nice - just one item to put one to
protect me all over. And much easier to clean, doesn't matter if it gets wet or
dirty. But I have found that the RoadCrafter is far more 'airier' than the my
leather jacket and I've been trying different items underneath to keep warm
(hate being cold). I got a very warm pullover from Aerostitch for Christmas
that matches up with the RoadCrafter vents. Haven't had a chance to try it out
this year.

But the RoadCrafter is waterproof in a light rain/drizzle that lasted several
hours last year. Not sure about a deluge of the same amount of time.
