I've got burns on both arms from the headers when trying to adjust
things from one side and the other. Eastwood sells Mechanixwear (TM)
gloves as well as 'heat sleeves' ("made from oil, fuel and water
resistant Kevlar", 2 for $25) that are 17" long. They go up past my
elbow. Next time I won't have to get a whiff of burning flesh when I
time the Eldo....

I've got a beauty, 3/4" diameter just down from my wrist, only a week old. I always chide myself for forgetting to put on a bluejean jacket to absorb the heat when tuning. In my younger days.....riding in shorts would frequently leave grill type burns on the sides of my knees, prompting people to question if leaned againest a hot barbecue. |
