Seriously, please explain how you are timing and adjusting this ignition.
I'm not trying to be trite or accusing, but it really sounds like you are
doing something very wrong to this distributor. After you set the gap and
the timing on the left side cylinder, you are NOT touching the points are
you? You aren't perhaps mistakenly using the instructions for a dual-point,
Tonti framed bike? Please describe. Sounds to me like you may be doing
something that gets your timing way off and that is causing the pinging.
