Hi, all. My clutch problem turned out to be worn
splines on one friction plate and completely missing
splines on the other. New ones have been ordered.

I have my swing arm out, and would like to check the
carrier bearing. How can I verify that it is OK? I
have heard that vibration in the right footpeg
indicates a dying bearing. Of course, as soon as I
heard this I noticed that my right foot vibrates more
then my left.

Thanks for the help!

BTW, I have been using BMW spline lube for clutch hub
and drive line splines, as do some others on this
list, but after 18,000 miles the clutch hub was as dry
as a bone, so I am concluding that this is not a good
choice. It works fine on the final drive splines,
because I re-grease them every time I change a tire or
take the final drive off for anything else. But for
the clutch it does not have the longevity necessary.
Cheesehead (MG Cycle) suggested that my clutch failure
is more the result of lack of lubrication then
anything else, and I agree with him.
