They did charge @ 70#. They do have a size restriction: Width X 2 +
Height X 2 + Length should be less than 130". I sent a frame in a box
once and had to do some major surgery at the ups office.
If you measure max dimensions on a Loop the total is 148, an ineligible,
although maybe they are a lot more lax on frames than with monster boxes.
Anyhow it's safely on its way to its new home. Thanks to all, I don't
think I'd be able to live with myself if I threw a perfectly good frame in
the trash.
UPS has gotten a lot more user friendly. In the past I had to go to the
edge of town and wait in line. Now you do the whole transaction on line,
print your label and drop it at the nearest center or flag down a brown
truck, even.
