Am I to understand that this is for a disc-brake front-end? If so, I think Paul needs the aluminum piece that screws onto the lower end of the dampener cartridge and then bolts to the fork slider at the other end. The fork spring goes on over it. #7 on California 850/Eldorado disc brake plate in my parts book. Right Paul? Cheers,
