Hey All,
After responding to the question from Jear about his bike's serial number I
have decided to get off my lazy butt and get going on updating my Loop list
again.
For those of you who are new to the group I began recording the serial
numbers for all Loops back a couple of years ago. I did this because I
became interested in how many bikes were out there. I also found that by
recording the serial numbers, the owner's names and the location of the
bikes I could get a sense of the history of the models and identify with the
other Loop owners out there.
How many Loops are left in North America? Who knows but far less than 2,000
I would think. Doesn't HD make something like 12,000 bikes a year?
If you would like to send me your info (off list please) I would like to
record it. Please send your model, serial number, name and location (just a
city or town). This is solely for my own personal curiosity and is not
intended to be used in any commercial way. Of course if there were a Looper
that wanted to see the info I would not hesitate to send it out. So...please
do not send the info if you are concerned about your privacy.
