Hi Ken,
Remembering back to that whole weekend is my "happy place" whenever I become too frustrated or cabin fever strikes. The Nantahala roads were some of the most fun and challenging I've been on and the area is quite beautiful. That sounds like a great location - too bad I'll have to miss it. Cheers,
Charlie

Everyone I have been trying to talk some of my local riding buddies into renting this place for the weekend some time. It holds 20 people & sits in a beautiful spot on a great twisty low traffic road. A Friday & Saturday night stay would run 409 bucks divided by 20 people = 20.45 each. Go herehttp://www.cs.unca.edu/nfsnc/recreation/recreate.htm, under Nantahala National Forest, click on Balsam Lake Lodge. Charlie, the ride I lead us on went right by this place. Ken Asheville, NC |
