I think some if not all of the rear crash bars had rubber footpads on the
crash bar itself. I know Dave Otis had a picture of them at one time.

 My bike came with these, little thick steel triangles. With the rear
crash bars in place, it seems these will only work if I point them
toward the rear of the bike, effectively making rearset passenger
pegs.
 
 
 I had thought from discussions in here that they relocated them
