Happy New Year!
Took a little coaxing, but got the Guzzi (G-5) started and warmed up and
ready to roll. A Harley riding buddy showed up right on time and we went
a short distance to my freind ,Dave Chrone's house to meet up with him
and some others. Dave is a Ducati singles fanatic. He also has a Ducati
750 GT, a 73 Guzzi sport, Moto Morini 3 1/2 and a bunch of others. The
other folks there was a mixed bag, from a 1964 BSA to new Hondas and
Ducatis.
We toolied over to Tempe where the city was still cleaning up from the
HUGE Tostitos New Years Eve Party(one of the top ten in the country)
When we pulled up to the Coffee Plantation, there were already 70 bikes
ther ranging from early BMW's to MV Agustas F4's and bimotos. Oilhead
beeemers abounded, as did Ducaties and triumphs.
It was still a bit chilly and the hot chocolate tasted really good.
Soon, everybody fired up thier steeds and headed out to Tortilla Flat,
just past Canyon Lake. An absolutely gorgeous day! When we got there,
there were many bikes already there. 300hp Hyabusa Turbos, Lavertas,
Guzzis, more bimotos!! What a sight!!
Spent the day seeing lots of good friends, and cool bikes.
