It should be fine. You should not be generating any corrosive gasses
(liquids, yes- gasses, no), and the hydrogen formed will simply go away.

PS, I put a thick paper towel over the filler holes to prevent acid
spatter when I'm charging in the frame. Change it out on occasion as it
gets degraded too. But really- it's best to remove the battery and
avoid the whole issue.
