Tried that trick . I wound up throwing the lenses out , still not
bright enough in daylight . It has a lot to do with the narrow light
spectrum from LEDs. There are LED replaements that will do the job but
they cost a LOT more than 15 bucks.
I DO have some LED SAE approved tailights that work real well on the
G-5 (Same basic shape) But they are still down a bit from tungsten in
daylight. .
