On a slightly different note I have an Ambo that I can not find the
wiring that goes to my front brake (rear brake) light switch. The front
brake cable has a cylindrical devise about half way down the cable that
has 2 electrical connectors coming out the bottom. I am assuming this is
where the wires go that would make the switch operate the brake light.
Although I said this bike is an Ambo its actually a v700 with Ambo sheet
metal. Could it be that the early V700 did not have a front brake
switch? If not how could I wire it up so the switch would work? I looked
in the parts and workshop manuals and couldn't seem to find anything
about the front brake light switch or wiring.
Would love to be a lot safer and have the front brake working the brake
light. Can anyone help?
TIA,

When my rear brake switch started sticking on, I just completely disabled it. I noticed that I never use the rear brake by itself...only in conjunction with the front one. Saw no point in having both switches. I know the front one could fail, but that's not too likely considering it is the hyraulic type switch.
