Karl:
My guess is that the output spline is worn by your clutch, and may
have been for a while. The new clutch arm may be causing the clutch to
engage in a slightly different place, hanging up on the grooves worn by
the clutch plates. You might be able to adjust it back to where the
plates ride back and forth in the original grooves that they were
wearing in the output spline with the adjustment on the clutch arm, but
ultimately the fix is to deal with the output spline.
For what it's worth, while I replaced my clutch I smoothed out
the notches in the output spline with a dremel tool grinder, it seemed
to do the trick, very smooth clutch action now.

I just got my wife's Ambo back together and in the process I had to swap out the clutch arm. Now when you let the clutch out the bike lunges. It is like the clutch is engaging to fast, no mater how slow you let the handle out. I think it is the threaded clutch adjustment on the back of the clutch arm. What is the right way to adjust this.
