I actually just off the phone with Eric, the brooklyn guzzi man, as I am
heading out there on saturday to get my carrier bearing pressed and my tires
mounted and balanced. His number is 917-847-7338. He is located in DUMBO,
Brooklyn on 68 Jay Street. Just to give you an idea how nice this guy is,
Dave W. and I dropped off my frame and steering stem with him on a saturday
afternoon to have the steering head bearings and races pressed. He got the
work done by saturday night, looked my home number up in the phone book (I
had left my work number) and dropped my frame off that night. It was pouring
rain and he was heading out to my neck of the woods to pick up his wife and
her 850T so he thought why not. NOTE TO KEITH RUFF: as I have never had
engine work done by Eric, I can only say that he seems like he knows Guzzis
really well. As for his neighborhood, I'd be happy (as I am sure Dave W.
would be)to accompany you if you'd like.
Mike Rich is located in Manorville, NY and is an engine builder. Also, a
rediculously nice guy. He does work for Charley Cole, who also does
transmission work if you ask him nicely. Mike's details are: 21 Jerusalem
Hollow Road Manorville, New York 11949 (631) 874-7032. He acquired a lot of
Manfred Hecht's stuff when he retired and is a genius when it comes to
engines. He has a history in gokart, motorcycle and some nascar racing.
Really great work.

Chris M.

Does anyone have a name and/or address? I'd be interested to know if there are any other looptframe experts in the Long Island / Nassau County area. I don't have any current problems, but you never know..... Vince in NY |
