Fred,
John and Greg are referring to "Goop" "Marine contact adhesive and sealant".
You can buy a big tube at any Home Depot. I used this on my airbox and I
can't believe the tight fit. This seems to be the cleanest fix to an
otherwise poorly engineered part of the Loop.

Be sure to do the job right by taking the airbox off the bike. Clean the
airbox hole where the rubber boot contacts it. Clean the edge of the rubber
boot where it contacts the airbox. Squeeze out a nice pencil-sized ribbon
of Goop around the airbox hole and then set the rubber boot on the ribbon.
Look down at the whole thing from a birds-eye view and be sure the rubber
boot is pretty parallel to the bottom of the airbox. Be sure you have the
rubber boot positioned so the longer side is toward the starboard cylinder
and the shorter the port cylinder.
Let the whole damned thing set for 24 hours to dry sufficiently.

Sorry if this was too tedious, Bob

My boot is now one with the airbox as well.
JB

I used a marine glue that's much like silicone sealer but much stronger.

I think the boot and airbox are now "one" for the duration.
