Looks like the whole thing is above my head for now. I can barely tune the
engine. I guess I stay with the 4 speed for now but good to know it can be

Keep in mind that the Eldo also has a different rear end gear ratio. I'm
not sure what the net result is if you merely change the trans and not
the ring and pinion set. Guzziology does address this issue, but I don't
recall what David The Wise had to say about it.
