Did the same thing here in Michigan. It was 70 or so at 5 AM nice ride
to work . No jacket no shield and a very pleasant 50 mph 10 mile cruise
down M53. Bring on the global warming ,I can dig it !

I usually only use a windshield in the winter myself. It gets awful warm here in Florida behind one in the summer. But I had and interesting experience a few years ago. I had just picked up a police style windshield, mounting brackets and all for $25. I had it on the bike about a week. Coming home from work one day behind a big rig. He clipped a phone cable going across the road. It swung down and hit my windshield just above the cross support. I ducked and it hit the windshield in the car behind me and BROKE IT!!! I pulled over to the side of the road and cleaned out my shorts. I didn't take the windshield off for a long time the following summer. But it is off now and I rode to work this morning at 6:30 without even a jacket on. Rick Woods |
