Well I finally got my new timing chain and valteck tensioner from
Harper's. Just to annoy the Missus I spent the afternoon putting it all
back together and let all the other "Honey Do's" wait. Boy, if I knew
how well it would run I would have done this a long time ago. So smooth
now. Gone is the pinging that had bothered me a while back. The clatter
is gone too. Runs quietly and idels better too.
Now.... Question... does anyone have experience with these Valteck
tensioners? How long are they expected to last? Is there a break in
period that I should observe?
