Charlie and Chris in NC,
I am keeping both your responses to this sidestand bumper problem. I love
this list for both the formal and informal fixes to problems!

Open the front door of nearly any mid-late 80's GM car or
truck and the ones on the bottom of the door (if present)
are perfect.
Worked for me and if someone ain't loking then they're
free!

Need a little help from loop framers. Where can I get a
replacement for the
rubber bumper on my Eldo's side stand? This is the
bumper that keeps the
retracted side stand from having metal to metal contact
with the frame. Any
suggestions for a replacement are appreciated.

Also, I cleaned the front brake (symptom: major
squealing) and adjusted per
the suggestions on this list a couple of weeks ago. It
feel great on the work
stand and I am anticipating much better road performance.

.... and I have been experiencing erratic idling for a
while. It runs OK
under load, but backfires on deceleration and the
deceleration seems to be
not as strong. Fixing this is the next project. Looking
at it on the work
stand, I see major leaking from the left (delorto) carb.
Not sure what I'll
find, but it comes apart this weekend. Any suggestions
as to what I should
look with these symptoms?
