Thanks for the info. I got the bike, along with some 850-t parts here in
Napa, Ca. It looks like a lot of work. I've only got to put the carbs
on my Ambo to get that one finished. Then I can start on the Eldo.

I have heard it said that the "VP" stands for Versione Policia but I have also heard that a lot of police bikes had come through with out the "VP" and some with the "VP" on the engine and not on the builders plate or vice versa. Mine has the "VP" on both the engine and the plate. The stars are there to keep someone from adding a number or two with a number punch and changing the VIN to suit their inappropriate needs.
